Terms & Conditions

Bikson Carpet Care

A trading name of SSBIKOE LTD

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services provided by Bikson Carpet Care, a trading name of SSBIKOE LTD.

By accepting a quotation or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information provided by the customer, including room sizes, number of items, photographs, descriptions of stains or odours, access information and the general condition of the areas to be cleaned.

Where the information provided is materially different from the actual condition, size or scope of work found on arrival, we will discuss any necessary change to the price before carrying out additional work.

A quotation does not constitute a confirmed appointment until the booking has been accepted and confirmed by Bikson Carpet Care.

2. Pricing

The price agreed before work begins covers the services specified in the quotation.

Additional services or treatments requested during the appointment may result in an additional charge. Any additional charge will be discussed and agreed before the additional work is carried out.

Unless otherwise stated, customers will not be charged for additional work without their agreement.

3. Deposits

A deposit is not normally required for standard residential appointments.

We may request a reasonable deposit for larger bookings, end-of-tenancy work, commercial work or appointments requiring significant time or resources to be reserved.

Any deposit requirement and applicable cancellation terms will be explained before the booking is confirmed.

4. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in advance, payment is due in full upon completion of the service.

For approved commercial customers, alternative payment arrangements may be agreed in writing before the work is carried out.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. Customers should give at least 24 hours' notice where possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Where a customer cancels at short notice, fails to attend, or prevents an agreed appointment from proceeding, we reserve the right to recover reasonable losses directly resulting from the cancellation where permitted by law.

Any cancellation charge will be proportionate to the circumstances and will not exceed the loss reasonably incurred as a result of the cancellation.

Where we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and arrange an alternative appointment where appropriate.

6. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Consumers who enter into certain contracts online, by telephone or away from our business premises may have statutory cancellation rights.

Where applicable, this can include a 14-day cancellation period.

If you specifically request that services begin during an applicable statutory cancellation period, you may be required to make an express request for the service to begin early. Where permitted by law, you may be required to pay for services properly supplied before you exercise your right to cancel.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

7. Access to the Property

The customer is responsible for ensuring that we can safely and reasonably access the property at the agreed appointment time.

Please inform us in advance about:

  • parking restrictions;
  • access codes or building restrictions;
  • difficult access;
  • significant numbers of stairs;
  • pets;
  • known hazards; or
  • any other circumstances that could affect the work.

Where paid parking or other unavoidable access costs apply, these should be discussed before the appointment wherever possible.

8. Preparing for Your Appointment

Customers should remove small, fragile and valuable items from the areas being cleaned before our arrival.

Floors should be reasonably clear of personal belongings.

We will discuss the treatment of larger furniture where appropriate. We do not guarantee that all furniture can or will be moved.

Customers should inform us about particularly valuable, fragile or unusual items before work begins.

9. Inspection

Where appropriate, we will assess the carpet, rug or upholstery before cleaning.

This may include considering the fibre or fabric, construction, condition, staining, colour stability, pre-existing damage and suitability for the proposed cleaning method.

We reserve the right to decline or modify a treatment where we reasonably believe that proceeding could cause damage or would not be appropriate.

10. Stains

We will use reasonable professional efforts to treat suitable stains, but complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed.

Some substances can permanently alter carpet or fabric fibres, dyes or colour. Previous cleaning attempts, age, heat, chemical exposure and the length of time a stain has been present may also affect the achievable result.

We will explain significant concerns where reasonably identifiable before treatment.

11. Pet Odours and Urine Contamination

Pet urine and other contamination can sometimes penetrate beyond the visible carpet fibres into the backing, underlay or flooring beneath.

Surface cleaning alone may therefore not completely eliminate severe or long-standing contamination.

Where additional treatment is recommended, we will discuss this with the customer. Complete removal of pet-related stains or odours cannot be guaranteed in every case.

12. Pre-existing Damage and Conditions

Customers should tell us about any known damage or concerns before cleaning begins.

Examples include:

  • loose seams;
  • damaged carpet backing;
  • worn areas;
  • colour loss;
  • bleaching;
  • burns;
  • shrinkage;
  • previous chemical damage;
  • unstable dyes;
  • damaged upholstery;
  • loose fittings; and
  • existing moisture or mould problems.

Cleaning may make previously hidden wear, staining or damage more visible.

We will take reasonable care when carrying out the service but are not responsible for pre-existing damage that was not caused by our work.

13. Upholstery Cleaning

Upholstery materials can vary considerably in construction, fibre content, dyes and suitability for wet cleaning.

Where appropriate, we will assess the upholstery and may carry out relevant tests before treatment.

We reserve the right not to clean an item where we reasonably consider that the proposed treatment could create an unacceptable risk of damage.

14. Drying

Drying times vary depending on factors including fibre type, room temperature, ventilation, humidity, level of soiling and the cleaning process required.

Any drying time given is therefore an estimate rather than a guarantee.

Customers should follow the aftercare advice provided and avoid replacing furniture or other items onto damp carpet where this could cause marking, staining or damage.

15. Results

Cleaning results depend on the material being cleaned, its age and condition, previous treatments, wear, staining and contamination.

While we aim to achieve the best reasonable result, we cannot guarantee that a carpet, rug or item of upholstery will be restored to an "as new" condition.

16. Health and Safety

Customers must inform us of any known hazards at the property that could reasonably affect the safe performance of the work.

Children and pets should be kept safely away from cleaning equipment, hoses, machinery and treated areas while work is taking place.

We may stop or decline work where conditions present an unreasonable health or safety risk.

17. Complaints

If you believe there is a problem with our service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate.

Where appropriate, we may request photographs or arrange to inspect the area concerned.

Where a consumer service has not been performed with the level of reasonable care and skill required by law, the customer may have statutory remedies.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits those statutory rights.

18. Liability

Bikson Carpet Care will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing its services.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

We are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer, pre-existing defects, or failure to follow reasonable aftercare instructions, except where the loss was caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill or where liability cannot otherwise lawfully be excluded.

19. Commercial Customers

Additional terms, pricing, payment periods or service arrangements may apply to commercial customers where agreed separately in writing.

Where a separate written commercial agreement conflicts with these Terms & Conditions, the separately agreed terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The terms applicable to a booking will normally be those provided or made available when the booking is agreed, unless a change is required by law or subsequently agreed between us and the customer.
